Inner Journeys is the largest Yoga School in Gippsland and is also an accredited Yoga Teacher Training Centre.
'Inner Journeys' is situated in a bush setting on the edge of the Strzelecki Forest just outside of Mirboo North. It is well beyond the pollution of industrial zones but is easily accessible from many Central and South Gippsland towns. And for those who do not like to travel, it also outsources its Expanded Yoga courses into a number of other towns. (Please go to 'Courses' page for details)
Jayananda was born in England in 1943. She was raised in a small Sussex village
and completed a four year graduate art course in Brighton.
During this time, and after first arriving in Australia in 1967 she developed
an expanding
desire to explore her spiritual reality. After travelling and working in various
parts of
Australia, she completed her secondary teacher training in Melbourne and following
the
birth of her daughters in 1975 and 1978 resumed her yoga experience by investigating
yoga as presented by Paramahansa Swami Satyananda Saraswati.
This was followed by numerous training courses in the different aspects of
yoga in Australia
and India. Swami Satyananda initated her as Swami Jayananda Saraswati in 1980
and she
has now been teaching and studying yoga for over 30 years.
In 1993 she founded 'Inner Journeys' Metaphsics Centre which
now runs yoga
courses throughout Gippsland and in 2000 registered and founded
the Yoga
Teacher Training branchof the 'Centre'.

All the 'Centre' teachers are trained at 'Inner Journeys' and are members of the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia.
